Schabmüller receives "Supplier of the Year 2008" Award
On Sep. 24th 2009 Schabmüller has been awarded as "Supplier of the Year 2008" by Toyota Material Handling Europe.
BT-Toyota called Schabmüller an "unmatched producer within this field and as a "class of its own". The outstanding development in quality and delivery performance over the last 2 years, as well as the competent technical support led BT-Toyota to award Schabmüller this title.

Via its subsidiary SCHABMÜLLER, Munich based industrial holding AURELIUS is taking over AC motor operations from the American Sauer-Danfoss Group as of 1 January 2009. After already acquiring DC motor operations from Sauer-Danfoss in March 2007, SCHABMÜLLER has now added the AC motor operations. As part of the takeover, production is to be transferred from Odense in to the Berching and Asch sites. Through this a total of around 60 new jobs will be created in the main production facility as well as in the Czech Asch operation.
Dr. Dirk Markus, CEO of AURELIUS, views the transaction as an important milestone: "Great progress has been made over the last 18 month after the realignment of SCHABMÜLLER. The company is on a growth track and is now even creating new jobs in again."
SCHABMÜLLER Group revenue is to increase from just under EUR 40 million to in excess of EUR 60 million as a result of the acquisition. In addition, the production capacity at both Berching and Asch is set to double to more that 200,000 electric motors every year. Although AC technology currently only accounts for around ten percent of SCHABMÜLLER revenue, in the coming year it will generate about half of the subsidiary�s revenue.
With this acquisition, SCHABMÜLLER Group is both growing in the AC motors market, a market that is becoming increasingly important, and boosting its competitive position as a technology innovator, particularly against competitors based in countries with low labor costs. On top of current customer projects, the company is also taking over production machines, for instance stator winding lines, which are ideally suited for producing the newly designed generation of motors for hybrid projects. In cooperation with development partners, this move allows the company to secure a leading role in the markets of tomorrow.

Sauer-Danfoss (Berching) will become SCHABMÜLLER
Starting May 4, 2007 the Berching company will use the traditional name Schabmüller GmbH again.
The Schabmüller name is well-known in the market. For more than 80 years Schabmüller stands for quality, reliability and innovation. We are glad, that we will offer our products from now on with the name Schabmüller again.

On March 30, 2007 all shares of Sauer-Danfoss (Berching) will be taken over by AURELIUS AG. AURELIUS Group (www.aureliusinvest.de) is an industrial holding located in Munich and is focusing on companies in special situations and initiates a long term business orientation of the Berching site.
